Flag Football is open to boys and girls in Kindergarten - 2nd grade. Teams will play in the WYFBL Flag Football division. Practices will take place once per week and games will be played on weekends. Teams will play against different towns and will travel to play away games. Home games will be played at Ardsley High School. All participants will learn how to catch, pass, block, and set up offensive and defensive formations. Our league stresses safety, sportsmanship and fun. All players will play in all games. Children will receive flags, game pants, personalized team jersey and a mouth guard provided by Ardsley Orthodontics.
Cost: $160 per player. Starts: Thursday, September 2nd.
Who can play? Flag football is open to boys and girls in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Boys and girls will play against each other. Flag football is a non-tackling game and rules are enforced to ensure the safety of all players.
Where and when do we play? All home games are played at Ardsley High School. Away games are played at various towns including Dobbs Ferry, Rye, Yonkers and Ossining. Games are played on weekends and vary according to schedule. Home games will be played on Saturday.
When are practices? Practices will be held once per week. Practice nights will depend on the availability of the coaching staff. If there is a conflict with religious school, please inform your team coach.
When do we start? Our first practice and clinic will be held on Thursday, September 2nd at Ardsley High School on the middle field next to the bleachers. Practice will start 5:45 PM. Players will be fitted for their personalized jersey at this time. Please wear loose clothing, cleats. Bring water to all practices.
